Classic Menswear Essentials: The White T-shirt

Men's fashion has a special place in its history for the simple white t-shirt. It's been worn by rebels, as well as movie and sports stars.

Even though it's a piece of clothing that most men have in their closets now, it's a fairly new addition to the male wardrobe. Like a lot of other clothes, the t-shirt comes from the military. It was first made as an undershirt for the US Army. It was based on the cotton sweaters that European soldiers wore during the First World War.

During World War II, the T-shirt was already a standard piece of clothing for the US military. There are many photos of men wearing T-shirts with army pants.

Films like A Streetcar Named Desire, which starred Marlon Brando and came out in 1951, helped make the white T-shirt a sign of the new generation of rebels. If you want to order the same model of t-shirt that Marlon Brando wore in the movie, you can do so from the British company Bill Kelso. This is the same company that makes some interesting vintage clothes using the same methods and techniques as the early 1900s.

Also, James Dean's role in the 1953 film The Wild One is one of the classics that helped make the shirt a timeless classic.

Specifically, it is a company that led the way in making white t-shirts like we know them today. Thomas A. Hill and Co. was started in 1860, and the Sunspel brand is what it is now known as. In the late 1800s, the English company had a lot of success with its innovative idea to make simple everyday clothes out of nicer fabrics. It started making soft Egyptian cotton underwear instead of the usual wool, which was the norm at the time.

In the second half of the 20th century, Sunspel became known as one of the best companies in the world to make high-end underwear. Sunspel clothes are now sold in the best stores all over the world. One of their most classic pieces is their white Egyptian long-fibre cotton t-shirt.

The Sunspel white t-shirt is a classic. In the past few years, Sunspel has also made several collections with the James Bond movies. In Casino Royale, Daniel Craig wore their famous Riviera pique. A few years ago, they also came out with The Ian FlemingTM Collection, which was made of Sea Island cotton and was only sold there.
