How To Be A Woman Of Elegance
In such a modern world, there seems to be a few of us who are looking to be a bit more elegant. Perhaps as the world has gone so informal, many of us are looking to be a Woman Of Elegance.
But what even is elegance?

For one to have elegance, there will be a few things that they will need to embody. Follow along on this post to see how you can capture the essence of elegance and too become a woman of poise and refinement.
POISED & POLITE
Every elegant woman will have a manner of poise and politeness about her. This is not only in formal situations, but rather in all situations.
Brush up on your Etiquette, there are plenty of books out there that can help you refine yourself in all the rules and protocols. One of my favorite resources on this is from Myka Meier, and it is called Etiquette Made Easy.
2. DRESSES APPROPRIATELY FOR THE OCCASION
It would be easy for me to say “elegant women dress classy”. But what does that even mean? At the end of the day, beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
However, one of the easiest ways that you will become a woman of elegance is, to always dress appropriately for the occasion. This means if you are going camping, ensure you are wearing camping & hiking gear.
So many times you will hear that a certain type of clothing is not elegant. But rather, it is not that this clothing is not elegant, it is a manner of how and where this item of clothing is being worn. After all, we can even find Kate Middleton wearing camping clothing…. when she is going camping.
So if you want to become a woman of elegance make sure that you are wearing the most appropriate item of clothing for the event or location that you are attending.
TAKE PRIDE IN YOUR PERSONAL HYGIENE AND GROOMING
No amount of designer items, and or clothing can make you look like a woman of elegance if you are not groomed.
Ladies, do take time care and attention to make sure you look polished, feminine, and poised.
You can do this by ensuring your hair and body are freshly washed. You can do this by ensuring you are not too heavy-handed with your makeup routine. And last but not least, do keep on top of proper hair care routines.
if you have split ends, cut them. If you wear extensions, do ensure that you are buying ones that are of quality.ACCESSORISE TASTEFULLY
For a woman to look her most elegant, she really must abide by the saying ‘ less is more”. Therefore, when you are accessorizing for the day, do not wear all of your accessories at once. Choose between a hat or your sunglasses. Don’t wear a long statement necklace, with long statement earrings and a red lip.
These statement pieces are called statement pieces for a reason. If you are wearing multiple statement pieces, they are just canceling one another out.

Busy.
Unrefined, and not very elegant look. Which is the complete opposite of what we are trying to achieve here.FIND A PERFUME YOU LOVE & OR A HIGH-QUALITY SIGNATURE SCENT
Have you ever smelled someone and what they wore for a fragrance was so intoxicating? It was almost as if they put a spell on you. There are so many perfumes on the market, but if you can invest in a high-quality niche perfume, you will forever thank me.
Not only do many perfumes these days have an array of chemicals in it. But many of the high street perfumes will have you smelling like 5 other women in the same venue.
When you shop for niche perfume you will not only get something way high quality ( with way less nasty chemicals in it ). But you will also not smell like every other woman in the same room as you.
Niche fragrances also tend to last way longer than their high street counterparts. And therefore, even though you may be putting out a bit more money upfront to purchase them, they will last you way longer in the long run.

As we live in a day and age where many of us are working at computers, it is very wise to keep an eye on the way you are standing, sitting, and walking. Aka, your deportment.
Once again, you can be dressed in the most elegant outfit, with the most classy make-up. But if you are hunched over like Quasimodo, this will not result in an elegant look.
Even the Queen has protocols in place to safeguard this. She monitors the way she holds her posture, and if she requires an extra bit of help in this department she ensures that she wears a brace to keep her posture tip top.WEAR CLOTHING THAT FITS & CHOOSE QUALITY FABRICS
Have you seen the wardrobe of Jackie Kennedy Onassis, or perhaps Kate Middleton?
One of the things that you will find with both of these lovely elegant ladies is their clothing always fit, and almost looked as if it was tailored for them. And guess what, it probably was tailored for them. If you are wanting to be a woman of elegance, you will want to ensure that you are wearing clothing that fits.
As women, we can often get funny about this topic. Especially if we have had some fluctuations with the scale. But, truth be told a polished and elegant woman will take her clothes to the tailor and get a proper fit, regardless of her size, big or small.
Furthermore, a woman of elegance will ensure that she is picking out the most high-quality fabrics that will fit her budget.
If her budget is small, she will start putting a plan together so she can start investing her money more wisely with higher quality garments that will last her much longer and bring more value to her money.IMMERSES HERSELF IN BOOKS & THE ARTS
We live in a social media, reality TV day and age. But you do not need to be driven by this too.
You can learn so much from books, on any topic or genre. Reading will not only help improve your language and comprehension, but you will become the most interesting person to talk to at the table as you will be so well versed in a subject.
Elegant women will always be reading something.ELEGANT WOMEN STAY CALM & CLASSY
Have you ever taken notice of the things that really tick you off? Here is what I have found, many times, the things that tend to set me off are when things go awry, and I haven’t planned accordingly.
Perhaps I was running late because I pressed snooze on my alarm one too many times this particular morning. I then rushed to get ready, and no I don’t look my best.
I’ve not had to run to get my train, and now look completely disheveled, and I wasn’t looking my best, to begin with.
… Couldn’t all of this be avoided if I planned accordingly? Couldn’t I have stayed calm & classy if I prepared ahead of time, and got up when I should have?
Elegant women understand the power of preparation. They understand they need to take accountability. Furthermore, they understand that saying a curse word, or two at all of the morning’s mishappenings is not going to put them in a very elegant light. So they refrain from saying anything too offensive.ELEGANT WOMEN ARE UNBOTHERED
You should project a sense of indifference, just as you should avoid showing excessive emotion. You'll come off as more refined and classy if you do this. Excessive elation or enthusiasm might easily make you come off as immature and childish.
No matter whether you believe they deserve it or not, show courtesy to everyone you meet. When things go wrong, avoid being snarky or passive-aggressive. Just maintain impeccable manners at all times. Everyone should be treated as if your grandmother were watching you and there was a tasty treat inside for you.
